Mirabel handmade costume
To hold my personal record of making a Purim costume for every curly Disney princess, this year, I had no choice but to craft my own Mirabel (Encanto Disney movie) costume.
My mom took a significant part in making this costume by sewing the skirt out of scratch and making the Mirabel look-like shirt from an old white t-shirt and lace.
"All" that was left for me to do was add the iconic embroidery elements to the costume, make the pompom earrings, and pick the right shoes and crossbody bag for the costume. Luckily, I already wear green eyeglasses.
To make ends meet, I ordered lots (and lots) of butterfly and flower iron patches from Amazon and used only a little free-hand embroidery to give it the Mirabel's crafty look.
The easiest part was to make the earrings - I used leftover purple yarn and a small pompom maker.
The final result was lovely, and I was so excited to be one of the first girls in Israel to be Mirabel only 4 months after the movie aired!
